Trip Report Cozumel 2010

September 18 through September 25, 2010, David & Nancy along with 6 members of the Phoenix Scuba dive shop, went to the Casa Del Mar resort in Cozumel Mexico.  This was one of the best diving trips we have ever had.  The water was clear, the weather was warm, the staff was attentive and the other members of the group are second to none.  Everything was just fantastic!!!  Below is a picture of some of the local dive sites. Our resort is near the International pier.  We dove everything from Paradise Reef to Punta Sur.

Below are some of the pictures we took while on this trip.  The best part of the trip was when the dolphins "rode the bow" of our dive boat on the way out to dive.

On the last night of our trip, the resort threw a party for all the guests.  The resort had invited some Caribbean dancers to perform for us.  After the dancers performed there was a DJ playing some great music.  Let's just say the party lasted until the next day and leave it at that!

For whatever reason, this trip I didn't take that many pictures of the rest of the group.  But I did get a picture of one of our servers.  Jorge was always there with a drink, the food or helping out anyway he could.  That is what separates' this resort from all the other resorts on the island.

The maid staff of the resort were super friendly and nice.  One of the many little things they did each day was create art from towels.

The next 80 pictures are all of different fish or coral we saw while on this trip.  We have tried to name all the fish or coral.

Here is a 36 second movie of a school of Grunts.  They are all facing and "hiding" from the current.

Here is a 30 second movie of me following Nancy through one of the many tunnels within the coral reef.  Going through the cuts and tunnels of the reef is a blast!

We had a fantastic trip thanks to both the resort (and staff) and the hard work of Steve & Kelly Fisher, the owners of the Phoenix Scuba dive shop.
